RUMOUR HAS IT

Rude implies ignorance of, or indifference to good form; it suggests intentional discourtesy in a deliberate way.  Rough in manners or behaviour.

To be true, this old geezer is a product of his generation.  More than that, years of living in UK developed a very direct manner.  Truth be told, it is quite true that tact and diplomacy are not strong suits.  Add to the mix, a colourful and demonstrative nature, and one can see that there are some who come away with mixed feelings of.

If not suffering fools easily,  commenting on bad behaviour, and protecting the interests of folks held dear is rude behaviour, this old geezer must be very guilty of rudeness.

It is with heavy heart that one hears comments made to, that some of recent departed guests felt the old geezer was rude.  And one tried to be the very model of polite and attentiveness.

Have you learned the lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you? Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed passage with you?
