REJOICE IN SONG!!!

CHASE AWAY THE DARK DAYS BY RAISING VOICE IN SONG.

OPEN LETTER GETS REPLIES

An open letter is a letter that is intended to be read by a wide audience, or a letter intended for an individual, but that is nonetheless widely distributed intentionally.

Open letters usually take the form of a letter addressed to an individual but provided to the public through newspapers and other media, such as a letter to the editor or blog. Especially common are critical open letters addressed to political leaders.

Motivations for writing open letters:
To state the author's position on a particular issue

As an attempt to start or end a wider dialogue around an issue
To criticise someones actions
As an attempt to focus broad attention on the letter's recipient, prompting them to some action
For humor value
Simply to make public a communication that must take place as a letter for reasons of formality

My dears, you be 'au fait' with MOI, most of the above stated reasons seem to apply to the open letter sent to Sheriff Durfor.  While Sheriff Durfor did not reply to the letter, there were many who did and want to share some of the thoughts passed on.

"I'm sorry for the struggles that you're having with your Villa. I know it must be frustrating to feel you are not receiving cooperation from law enforcement, especially when the least they could do is give you information on how to change things if they are unable to take action themselves.  There are studies that link blight to crime and I totally believe it to be true. When people do not take pride in their surroundings, it's an open invitation to criminals and like minded individuals. I am glad that at least the majority of your complex is joining in with you and working towards a common goal, taking pride is their surroundings. Kudos to you! I hope this finds you well, my friend."

"I was wondering how long it would take you to discover that the police do not care about poor neighborhoods."

"I live in Linda and NEVER call the police.  In the past, by the time they got around to coming out, what needed attention was too far gone to help."

"If you ever give up on Park Avenue, there is another street you can help-the one I live on."

"There are times I believe that the police allow certain areas to contain lots of crime.  That was they can keep it all in one area, and when it gets too bad, they just do a raid, then pat selves on back and brag about how hard they work to prevent crimes."

"I love it, us against them, you just found out what most of us who live in Linda already know.  Rob, you live in the shit pile and the police treat you like all of the other turds floating around Linda."

There were loads more letters received but many were too wicked to print.  Seems that all have an opinion of the job NOT done in Linda to solve the issues that destroy 'quality of life'.

Almost to a letter, folks tended to feel that Sheriff Durfor would not answer the 'open letter'.  Truth be told, the folks betting against a reply were right, Sheriff Durfor has not replied.  I doubt that he ever will.

I had a copper stop by the other night, one of the more brilliant ones.  He was all ears and had a bit of advice.  Being part Brit, I tend to speak Brit Speak and use the Brit manner of address for Lt. Reid, a command copper for Yuba County Sheriff Department.  Was told that the dear chap was offended and I would not endear self if continued.  I told the visiting copper that I bang on in my own manner and would not change just to make a senior copper happy.  Can you imagine?

For every action, there is a reaction.  It may well come to pass that the coppers will be even more unkind in their attentions, if that is possible.

I know that justice is not equal in Linda, or anywhere else for that matter.  The more posh the address or important a personage is dictates the attitude of the coppers when they come round.  They will deny that but it be very true.  The coppers talk a mean games about how much they care and they feel no personal connection to the problems the folks face on the roads they patrol.  It is a pay packet.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Getting almost 100% co-operation from the neighbours at Linda Villa is very good.  That means more to MOI than any kind words received from Sheriff Durfor or his palace guard.  More's the pity that attitude of coppers will make some folks feel that effort to be brilliant is not working and they will stop co-operation to improve the community.  It was that attitude that killed the road in the past.

I am but ONE person, the power of one being that more and more folks rally round and support efforts to bring about change.

SPLISH SPLASH WICKED CHILDREN!

A little tune to help the evil wee ones get the hint about wicked behaviour. Perhaps a bath will be needed to wash some of the mud off and a little soap in mouth to wash out the hate words learned.

QUASHING WICKED ACTS OF BAD CHILDREN

My dears, this old geezer thinks the years of 'childhood' are very important to the growth of a good adult.  It is the belief in 'fairy tales' that helps the 'child' learn some of the vital values that will carry one through life.

Sadly, not all children are 'good'.  There be right wicked, evil little creatures who have had 'childhood' poisoned by the evil adults round.  The behaviour taught is so wicked and the child buys into it as it seems to please the evil adults to see a mirrored younger copy of themselves.

I used to think that the poor child played no pary in the process.  Rubbish.  I believe that wicked children take delight in seeing if they can out do their parents.  They have been taught that they are too young to suffer for bad behaviour, so they pust the evelope completely.

There be wee visitors to the complex on road lived that make one reel back in horror at the mean manner they treat each other and adults.

What can you say about a wee lad who refuses to follow rules.  Feels that bike riding in carpark in dangerous manner is cool, skateboarding on pavement to point of knocking others down as well as knocking self silly, acceptable.  A wee miss who can curse like a sailor.

There was a path carved out of the bushes that folks used to get onto road with ease, too lazy they be to walk round and enter or exit property proper.  So well travelled is path that there be no grass left and the opening through the bushes has been made wider and wider still.

The problem with the path is that young children wicked ride bikes down the hill and defy any to get in path.  There be older folks, lame folks and even young mothers to be who run risk of being knocked down.  The wicked children laugh and taunt folks to take the risk.

Truth be told, there also be evil adults who use the path for bad reasons, but we will focus on the actions of the wee ones today.

After many tries to get the wicked children to act responsible, I hit upon a rather brilliant idea last night.

Many massive rocks have been placed in the openings of the bushes to no avail.  The wicked children still refuse to leave the complex in proper manner.  Last night I turned on the sprinklers and waited to see what the evil creatures would do.

How odd to see folks in fear of a little water.  The wicked folks had to dodge the water and they did not like it.  Was so great to see activity slow that the water was allowed to play upon the path throughout the night.  Morning revealed a lovely sight.  The rocks were now in the middle of a lake, a lake that streatches along the entire route that folks like to use.

Round this time, there be some who might feel that I take pleasure in dashing the hopes of wee ones.  I do not.  Mind, I am not going to allow small boys and girls to hurl hat at me or others.  When wee lads and lasses use 'FAG', 'QUEER' and hurl threats at folks, it is time to take some action.  Evil creatures are not welcome here.  If they want to visit a granny, they best be on best behaviour.

The coppers will do nothing to control the behaviour of the evil little creatures.  Quite clear that the adults could care less.

More's the pity that more effort is not made to save the children.  Guess the coppers do not mind dealing with them as they get older and social welfare programmes could care less if they monitor they care given them.

How very sad that evil children and evil adults are allowed to plague good folks.

CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP

Contrary to popular belief, the captain of the ship that be the Linda Villa is not MOI but Murray Kay.

Some time back the Linda Villa struck an iceberg and has been taking on water steadily ever since.  Coming onboard as First Officer, it was me job to close the watertight doors and assure the passengers that there was no fear of the ship sinking.  Life vests were passed out as a precautionary measure and ever effort was made to keep the ship righted and able to steam ahead on own power.  Knowing that the role of saviour was going to be difficult, James was signed on as Second Officer with the promise to make him capable of charting the course ahead, once dangerous waters had been cleared.

Memories of the Titanic spring to mind.  Warnings were ignore and all thought it was impossible for the boat to sink.  The gash was too deep and the water poured into the stricken vessel.  Despite all efforts to keep the ship afloat, it was clear that the ship was doomed and the passengers queued up for what few spaces were available in the lifeboats.

The captain of the Titanic did his duty, he directed action and when all was lost, made ready to go down with his ship.  The captain of the Linda Villa climbed into a row boat and sailed round the ship, leaving the First & Second Officer to beat off attacks and fill what few lifeboats were available, all the while the captain prayed and meditated on the calamity playing out round.  It is one thing to have faith in a strong ship, quite another to cling to the belief that no harm will come to as buckets of water fill the vessel to breaking point.

A bit of paint, a vase of flowers, and a load of smoke and mirrors got many to believe that the Linda Villa was saved.  So many bought into the scheme that ever more passengers signed onto the ship.  What was not addressed was the rot that had taken hold, or the passengers who should have had their voyage cancelled.  As clever as this old geezer feels he be, it was not seen that efforts to stop the water damage were meeting with failure.

Truth be told, this old geezer performed a feat of herculean size.  Had the captain of the ship been listening to all that was told to and willing to perform, it is quite possible that the tale of the Linda Villa might be written differently.  It is quite clear that there is no other end in sight for the Linda Villa, other than the one it now faces.  Very dark days indeed.

While there is still time, this old geezer is going to step into one of the few remaining lifeboats.  Cast adfirt with all of the other passengers, it will be seen if the captain of the stricken Linda Villa saves it.  Should the worst befall the Linda Villa, the list of passengers who lost out will include MOI.  Remember, this old geezer was a full paying passenger before being offered a role of responsibility.

Hundreds of hours of labour will be lost, repairs made will be pulled apart by the ones ignored.  Good money spent badly or not spent at all.  This old geezer's pocket will not be the only one to feel empty.

The tale of the Linda Villa has taught me much.  You can not teach an old dog new tricks and there comes a point when you have to cut losses and walk away.

Murray Kay has not lived up to his role as captain of the ship he commands.  Sadly, Murray may well find self sitting in that lifeboat watching the Linda Villa break up and sink beneath the waves.  More's the pity that, as there was every chance for his saving his ship and he let that time pass.

IF DOG DANCES, CAN PIGS FLY?

Gobsmacked I be, what is world coming to? Clever.

UNANSWERED PRAYERS

My dears, it has been said that there is no such thing as 'unanswered prayers', sometimes the answer is NO.

The above prayer is one that has caused me pause much in the course of me life.  Do I clearly see the differences at times or am I so full of hubris that I refuse to?  Big question.

Since the view I hold of meself is not of being a scapegrace, one has to believe that I would try to be honest and true at all times.  Mind, I am but human and do tend to fail from time to time.

Having little nice to say, it seemed best to just say nothing.  That is what I have done for past few days.  Locked away with me thoughts I have given much thought to events that seem to threaten the good that has been achieved on road lived and that small patch of earth called home.

Lacking the gift of sight, am clueless as to how events will turn out.  I sit and wait for revelations to come.

BEAT THE DRUM AND SING ALONG

BENEFITS CHEATS ROB US ALL

My dears, benefits cheats rob us all.  Each and every day that passes and the fraud goes on, it takes a little more away from folks who truly need help.

My road and community are not alone in suffering the plague that is lazy layabout scroungers.  The problem exists through out the country.  Mind, it is in this community that I see it and it is here that the fraud hurts personally.

Oddly, benefits cheats do not seem to suffer social stigma for their actions.  Blatant abuse of the system is met with a total lack of concern on the part of many.  Neighbours look the other way and in some ways even take part in the cheating.

Truth be told, much of what hurts community lived in, can be laid at the door of the benefits cheats.  When folks have nothing to lose, there is little desire to do the right thing.  Should all turn to custard, they just pack up and move on to another place and start the cheating all over again.  Given that wee one are part of the fraud, so long as the wee ones are in the home, the benefits will continue to roll in.

Perhaps the hardest blow to suffer in fighting to right the wrongs that plague the road lived on and the community a part of, is the mean attitude of the benefits cheats.  How they look you in the face and tell you that nothing can be done to them as they are on the dole, you can not take anything from them.  Protected they are.  Abuse of the law to dig in and stay, makes a win a loss.

What with taxes due in a day or so, it would be well to remember that the taxes paid keep the ride going for so many who do not deserve it.  More's the pity that...

LAUGHING POLICEMAN

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

We must not make a scarecrow of the law,

Setting it up to fear the birds of prey,
And let it keep one shape, till custom make it.
Their perch and not their terror

William Shakespeare

All things being equal, all deputy sheriffs in Yuba County are not.  Pray stay with this old geezer and all will be revealed in due course.  It is always a bit of a shocker to meet up with a deputy sheriff who answers a call for assistance and arrives with a pre-set mindset as to how he will deal with the caller.  Mind, in Yuba County, it is a safe bet that the chap will not be as 'au fait' as he claims and has bought into the 'urban legend' that he comes into a troubled area, to deal with one who is less than brilliant.

Sounds a bit harsh to say this, but it is quite true.  If you read body language, and MOI does, you quickly pick up the attitude of a deputy sheriff that falls into the ME against THEM.  HE is the law, resplendant in unifrom, massive pistol strapped to side and badge on chest.  It will be he who decides what the law is and it will be his impression of the situation at hand that will dictate how HE will guide one in the 'letter of the law'.

Truth be told, MOI asks for no special treatment from the coppers who visit the property.  It follows that if one is going to do the 'right thing', bending the rules is just not done.  Mind, a little 'out of the box' thinking is always helpful and appreciated.  More times than not, the situation has several angles and one has to step back and view with an open mind.

To be visited by a copper who will not 'listen' to the cry for help, is most disturbing.  The law is not always as cut and dry as a copper would have you believe.  To be told that civil action is the only course is to ignore the larger picture.  To be fair, that is my opinion, not shared by the copper who came.

I resent coppers who hide behind the law, or at least their understanding of how the law might apply to a situation.  Given that no one person has all of the answers, the copper in the field has to but get on telephone and ask for guidance.

In the past, coppers have come round with snaps of folks they seek, to get information on where the evil makers might be hiding.  The coppers are very big on gathering information when it suits their purpose.  Leaves no doubt that if the coppers want to get someone, they will. or send a clear message that it is time to fold tent local.

This old geezer is not a copper, did not attend the police acamedy and does not wear a badge or have a massive pistol on hip.  Living has given some insight into what wicked looks like and tries to catch things long before ruin sets in.  Being pro-active helps to warn off evil doing before they get too settled.

What lay waste to the Linda Villa, the road and community round was the lack of attention to the 'evil doers' who had set up shop.  One by one, the flat were filled up with folks who had nothing to lose and went about ruining the 'quality of life' of the good tenants and neighbours.

The fight to right the wrongs of the past is on-going and requires all of the help that can be got from what ever quarter it is offered.  Some coppers who truly care have been of much help in the fight against crime and drugs. Some brave men and women of the Yuba County Sheriff's Department see their duty in higher terms than a pay packet, they are a part of the community they 'serve and protect'.

The copper on partol depends on local folks to keep him informed as to what is happening on his beat.  Sadly, not all of the coppers who answer calls for service to Park Avenue have a vested interest in turning round a troubled community.  It is just a job, not a calling.  More's the pity that.

The obtuse deputy sheriff who came to answer a call for help will go home and feel that he did all that he could do, never giving thought to how his actions make one feel less inclined to engage his help in the future.  It may well be that this old geezer is right in feeling that the fight to help a road and community right self is the work of the folks who live on the road and are a part of the community.  It is too much to assume that coppers care one way or another the outcome of trouble that lands here.

The copper who came to the road failed to apply the 'broken window' solution to the problem faced.  He took the safe path and did nothing to prevent future harm.

If the law supposes that," said Mr. Bumble, "the law is an ass, a idiot."

BEFORE THE PARADE PASSES BY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoL5m8mlQUg a little light music from the lovely chaps in the orchestra.

A DREAM IS HARD TO KILL

Almost two years ago, this old geezer threw a block party to draw attention to improved conditions on road lived and a part of.  It was a grand affair and will long remain a high point in me life.  Even today, nary a view of the filmed bit fails to bring tears to face as the brilliant day is remembered.

There be many who feel that this old geezer is a bit full of self, that every action is calculated to add glory to self.  Truth be told, no amount of denial will convince some that not be the case.  Have long since given up trying.

This old geezer is a quick study and remembers and tries to not repeat them.  In planning the "LINDA DRUG OUT" it was hoped that history would not repeat self and in the end the efforts would take stronger root than did in a different place and different time.

This time round, much that had made the block party so very hard to do were not present.

Yuba County is blessed to have elected officials that CARE.  Neighbours who truly want to make road and community a better place.  For a time, it was felt that there was every chance that throwing a party at complex lived, road a part of and community lived in would be the start of something new and exciting, a re-birth of sorts.

Linda, Ca gets a bad rap, as does the Linda Villa.  Folks are so locked in on 'what was', they still want to see no improvement, and there is much improved.

The Linda Villa, like much of Linda had fallen on hard times.  Many told of nicer times, life was simple, business thrived and neighbours cared about one another.  Long before the days of drug dealers selling poison, the wee ones were able to play without fear, neighbours could enjoy the community and elected officials and the coppers could 'serve and protect' without feeling that they were but waiting for the other shoe to drop.

This old geezer knows a thing or two about hate.  Have felt it all of life due to being different.  How refreshing it was to land in a spot that saw so many folks willing to allow MOI to be a part of the community.  The elected officials and coppers saw someone who wanted to make a difference and were more than willing to overlook a few 'feathers'...

Sadly, drug dealers and punters who buy the poison, layabouts and benefits cheats only saw a different sort before and tried to hurl insults at to dirve away.  Feeling no pride in selves, they did not want anyone else to feel pride either.

No purpose is served to make change to a road or community if one of the most important parts of that change fails to see the need to do all possible to contribute.  Being a landlord comes with more obligation than providing a flat for rent and collecting rents.  However failed the mission might have been in the past, it was time to step up and do the right thing, and do it completely.  Much depended on it.

Nothing prevents this old geezer from doing what he is passionate about.  One just has to approach it differently than what was one thought in the beginning.  Things changed and a smart man sees the change and adapts.

Proclamations were planned for, attention to shower down on the head of MOI.  More ego for the wall.

The block party planned for May 8th, 2010 is still in works.  A much different feel to it is taking shape.  The focus is more on the individual neighbours who make the road, complex and community a better place.  At me age, there is no need for another piece of paper to tell how grand I be.

One person can make a difference.  Real change happens if that ONE person gets more to join the parade.  In so many ways, that has already been achieved.  Andy is very big on efforts to make this part of Linda shine.  Steve is doing all possible to lend support to drive out the evil creatures that plague the community.  The same goes for Neil, Robert, Inger, Paul, Barbara, William, Shawn, Jennifer, Randy.  There be so many more in the parade now.

Murray Kay has placed a few toes in the water, all the while clinging to the pier, very afraid to BELIEVE that he can make it More's the pity that.

It may well be true that you can not teach an old dog new tricks.

Truth be told, this old geezer entered into a business relationship with Murray with eyes wide open.  Too much might have been expected, expectations too high.  This old geezer may well have lost a few coins and time.  The dream for a better place to live, road to walk upon and be a part of a better community lives on in spite of failings on Murray's part to grasp the future laid out for him.

Life is not fair, one has to accept set backs.  It is the bigger dream that matters and with or without complete support, it is still possible to do one's best.

If but one life is changed, much is changed.

$1000.00 CASH FOR KEYS OFFER

In a classic example of a cash for keys offer, the landlord will initiate the eviction process on a flat, and indicate that he is willing to pay the tenant a set amount of cash in exchange for the keys. The cash may be based on a percentage of deposit held, or it may simply be a static payment. If the tenant accepts, possession of the flat reverts to the landlord, and a moving date is set.  The cash for keys settlement can be used to help with moving expenses, and it is also designed to keep the tenant from becoming an on-going source of grief at complex.

Without voluntary surrender of the keys to a flat, landlords face a lengthy eviction process. Running an eviction is expensive, and time consuming, because while eviction notices are served and the eviction is finally enforced, the flat is simply sitting there, and the landlord cannot put it on the market to re-rent.

In addition to helping the landlord cover his losses quickly, cash for keys can also prevent damage to the flat. In some cases, people who are evicted feel resentful and angry, and they may stop maintaining the flat or actively damage it out of spite. As a result, a landlord might need to invest  repairs to make a flat salable, and this eats up more time and money.

Yesterday a 'cash for keys' offer was turned down by tenants who truly should have taken the cash and departed.  The ability to pay rent is not there, and the amount of folks packing the flat can not make living in it very comfy.  Mounting debt owed to the landlord can not be paid, eviction for non-payment of rent is easier to get than any other.

That there is 'a game afoot' has never been in doubt.  It got far worse with the addition of another tenant, who had got a 'cash for keys' deal and just shifted herself and children into another flat, the very one wanted out.  Mind, when challenged, the ex-tenant will tell the whole world that she does not live at the Linda Villa, and her children are just visiting their granny.  24/7.

The Linda Villa has Murray Kay to thank for the situation it finds self in.  It was he who moved the horrid folks into the Linda Villa.  To do a favour for a friend, and to help out 'folks down on luck'.

It took much effort to get Murray Kay to make the 'cash for keys' offer.  At the last available moment he made the cash available.  After it had been covered by this old geezer.

$1000.00 is no small amount.  That is what was offered to the tenants to give back the flat and depart.  This is on top of the rent owed and not paid, damages that will have to be fixed, abuse of hospitality suffered.

One can only guess that tenants who refused the 'cash for keys' offer are waiting for Murray to arrive so that they can cobble a different deal with the man.  Murray has a habit of allowing the very same wicked folks to walk all over him.  Will come as no surprise if he allows the tenants to leave when they feel comfy and still pay them for doing it.  Must be nice to be so generous.

Murray told me that when he first got the Linda Villa, it was a 'cash cow'.  Fancy that.

Murray managed to place his hand to tit and squeeze all of the milk out.  Not keeping repairs going, placing folks in charge that 'managed proper', evicting bad tenants, all caused the milk to stop flowing to the tit that Murray was trying to milk.  With a little help from folks trusted and a whole lot of help from self, Murray had managed to just about kill the 'cash cow' that was the Linda Villa.

Murray seems to be lacking in 'faith' in his own property.  Can be the only reason why he fails to follow through and do a complete job and not a bodge every time he tries to get the tit flowing again.

To grease the wheels of progress at the Linda Villa, MOI has dug into purse and spent $2285.00.  Coin put into to play based on a calculated bet that it would pay off.  Me thinks that the coin will never find way back into me purse and am not sure that any more will ever be put out.  Surely not for a block party that was planned for next month.  There will be little to celebrate as folks who ruin the joy of life at the complex will most likely still be living here.   Slow do the wheels of justice move when Murray has to pay lawyers.

My dears, this old geezer be no fool.  Were Murray to return coin spent on his future, it would be accepted.  Truth be told, the sum spent will have to be written off as the ego-packed actions of an old man driven to make a change.  So massive is ego NOT that it will be added to by placing more coin on a party that benefits Murray more than the road, complex or community a part of.  More's the pity that Murray fails to see that his actions continue to foster ruin.

EASTER BUNNY FILMED BIT

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIWJ9XfgMr8   link to new video posted on YOUTUBE

EASTER BUNNY VISITS LINDA VILLA

My dears,  what can this old geezer say that the snaps do not already?

From the wee ones to the adults there were so many smiles given out to the Easter Bunny.

May your Easter been as fun filled...

EASTER BUNNY HELPERS RUN RIOT

My Dears, when Barbara(the resident witch) offered to get baskets ready for the Easter Bunny, she was clueless as to the riot of fun that would unfold in her flat.

Spare bedroom becomae the staging area for the filling of baskets.  As you can see from the snaps, it would appear that the 'grass' got 'tossed' a bit...

Then, James(resident elf) got into the act in helping his oldest daughter set the goodies in baskets.  Mind, the large box of 'ale' might have been the 'reward' he was eyeing for his efforts.  Never did James meet a tottle he did not like to set lips to...

As you can see, even witches tire.  Barbara is seen in her favoured chair with all the the essentials at the ready.  Truth be told, Barbara had spent much energy in gathering goodies and making sure that each and every basket got special attention.

This old geezer adores Barbara and feels lucky that she has become so good a mate to.  Barbara also has the honour of having the most special pussies at the Linda Villa.  So grand are they, nothing makes them upset and they just sit back and take all of the ACTION in their stride.  Mind, they know that THEY are the real tenants in flat.

EGG COLOURING AT LINDA VILLA

My dears, the weather may have forced the colouring inside but the smiles of the wee ones illuminated the flat most brilliantly.

Prizes were awarded to all of the wee artist and the adults seemed to be just as 'hoppy' as the children.

Another brilliant community activity sponsored by the Linda Villa to make neighbours on road lived and community a party of feel special.

EASTER SONG

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFWmvS3jprk

YOUTUBE has changed how to load up videos to blog and this old geezer has not it sorted out completely. So, here is a link to a song to thrill you for Easter.

EASTER CHOCOLATE

Is it OK to just have a wee bit of choco for Easter?

WEATHER PERMITTING

It is planned that egg colouring contest will happen at the Linda Villa today.

The weather does not look promising and what was going to be outdoor fun, will now have to be done in a flat.

There will be a small army of children doing the colouring of eggs.  Some brave parents have come forward to help keep the wee buggers in line and the dye and eggs under control.  From the small to the big, one can expect that the noise level of the children will be high.

Had the weather been good, it was planned to have helpers hide the eggs and get the wee one to go hunt them.  Mind, I am already acting as if the day will be horrid.  With the nasty weather of yesterday and reports of same today and tomorrow, what is one to think?

The lovely Barbara and her trusted helpers have lined up the eggs and colours.  Barbara adores children and is really getting into the spirit of Easter.  Mind, it could well be to the sugar high she is on due to all of the chocolate she has been eating.  The ever lovely Barbara has been getting baskets ready for the Easter Bunny to give out on Sunday.

Along with Barbara, there will be Murray, his lovely daughter Teresa, Jamie and some of the adults tenants to supervise.  Rumour has it that Andy Vasquez might drop by to see how the colouring is going.

The egg colouring will take place at the complex starting at noon.  It will be held in unit #B.  If in doubt, just listen for the screams of the children and that cackle of Barbara...

APRIL FOOLS

The real fools this day are the clever ones who think that it is fashionable to do drugs.  The joke being that they will wake one day to see life completely ruined and no hope for recovery.

What is so sad is that no amount of help is going to save some of the poor souls that find the need to medicate selves with poison.  They refuse to read the signs, keep evil folks away and ignore all of the warning signs that health is in danger.

Make no mistake about it my dears, evil drug dealers come in all forms.  They can be the lovely older lady who lives on the road who sells needles for extra cash.  The very ones that she is to use to control diabetes.  It can be the chap who has pain pills and sells them to bring in extra lolly.

Like the brave owner of the business that posted the sign in the snap used for this post, MOI feels that it is time for each and every person in Linda to stand up and say no to evil, in what ever form it is.  Driving poison out of the community is the single most important thing we as a community can do.

Truth be told, the evil creatures who sell and do drugs, are playing the community.  When evil drug dealers and their poison is allowed to move in, the joke is on the community.  When drug activity is ignored or tolerated, the joke is on neighbours and the community.

My dears, let the drug dealers and evil creatures who do poison know that it is no longer acceptable behaviour.  This very day, do something, however small that says to the community at large,  we care here.

Just think how gobsmacked the drugs dealers will be to have 'APRIL FOOLS' shouted at.   They who thought that they had got over on the community.  The drug dealers and their punters be the only FOOLS  this day.
