SHAMELESS ADVERT

A birthday, as the term implies, is the anniversary of the particular day on which a person was born. Though by no means universal, birthdays are celebrated in numerous cultures, often with a party or, in some instances, a rite of passage.

The birthday cake is traditionally highly decorated, and typically covered with lit candles when presented, the number of candles signifying the age of the celebrant. The person whose birthday it is may make a silent wish and then blow out the candles. After that, the person can open their presents. It is also common for the person celebrating their birthday to cut the initial piece of the cake as a newlywed couple might with a wedding cake.

In addition to parties, it is common for people to receive gifts on their birthdays or surprise parties. The popular gifts include books, jewellery, clothes, flowers, technical devices, etc. However, sometimes it is expected of the person celebrating their birthday to treat their party guests instead; this varies depending on the local culture and may involve party gifts or other gestures, for example inviting to the restaurant or bar, arranging party at home, or at work.

Tradition....

With this old geezer, it is tradition to place shameless adverts on website and see how many buy into the advert.  Who does not like many gaily wrapped packages presented to?

Being that MOI has been told how evil he be, there may not be a slew of gaily wrapped packages presented to.  Truth be told, even the hint from one that a cake will be made is not taken seriously.

No, this old geezer will go out and purchase a cake.  A superior cake, with loads of creamy icing on top of a white, cream filled cake.

As always, the ones who have suffered this old geezer longest, will rise to the ocassion and present tokens to.  Have no doubt that I shall be gobsmacked by the kindness shown.

Sunday be the event.  There is a song in the air, a hint of things to come and always the cardfs sent that will bring joy to me special day.

Mind, if any reading are moved by this shameless advert and want to add to the day by gifting, never let it be said that MOI is not open armed...

Now where did that bucket go for the water to throw on cake fire????
