URBANE IN MARYSVILLE?

Old Postcard View of Marysville
My dears, Marysville may not be center of the world and like the old postcard much of its glory may be a bit faded but it is not without a certain appeal.  Appeal one finds in many unexpected ways.

Much of me life has been spent living in urban areas.  While Marysville is not New York or London, it is still a city with a downtown core.  A center that provides much support to locals living there.  There are shops of all kinds, many of which make life easier if you want to live in a downtown area.  There are the many take-away food places, hair salons, eateries and a hardware store.

My personal favourites are; The Brick, China Moon, Ace Hardware, 7/11(that is where the REDBOX film rental is located), St. Joseph's and City Hall.

It does not require much effort to walk about downtown.  Truth be told, you can visit most things of interest in not much time. "D Street" is the main road for shops and can be walked from one end to the other with ease.

This old geezer likes the fact that folks tend to remember one here and are apt to say "Hello" to as you walk round town.  Just the other day, there must have been 5 people sing out me name as I and Paul walked through downtown.  Captain Wilson had a smile and welcome for, as did the lovely lady who owns "The Candy Box".  Then there was Brenda and Tom.  Not to forget the lovely couple met last year and remembered by.  Fancy that.

"I think I am going to like it here"...
