I am very moved each time I listen to this song.
I am taking liberties with the use of it on this post, but if you bear with, allow me to explain.
HATE is the war we fight each and every day. At times, it feels as if HATE is so much stronger than LOVE.
If we are all the same under the skin that coats us, why is it that;
War is oft fought for reasons of colour or religion?
AIDS is a Black, or Gay condition and not a human condition?
Poverty more horrid when white and young and not when it is Black or old?
Heterosexual is good and Homosexual is not?
When MURDER is more horrid due to colour of skin of the killer or the killed?
Illegal Drug us is such a hateful thing it could care less the colour, sex, national origin of the seller or user.
Regardless of colour, people do bad things and that applies to religion being used to do bad things.
It has always been my view that folks do care, BUT, the degree of caring may well depend on if the poor, sick, and otherwise wounded, look and act just like US.
There are times that HATE coming at me in endless stories in the news is too much to deal with.
"God Is Watching", whatever name you use, the Creator of us all, sees it all.
Somebody said something to piss him off.
