'AWAY DAY'

My dears, however lovely the holiday, there comes the day when the luggage must be sorted out and one must takes one's leave.

Today sees the departure of several who have enjoyed Hilo these past days and week.

What tales of their adventures will they dine out on back home.  Will folks feel so moved that they will book their holiday as well.  How many holiday snaps will be emailed to folks left at home.

With every group of departing guests there is always one that will remain firmly planted in head.  That certain personage who will spring forward in conversation of former guests and bring a smile to face.  Mind, there be some departing guests that bring a smile to face due to their departure.  Slap me silly, that was wicked of this old geezer...

The avid reader of this blog is 'au fait' with to know that me thoughts are not always with special point.  It is  an attempt to keep the dots connected.

This old geezer was thinking 'travel' and a most favoured quote of Oscar Wilde came upon;

' I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train. '
