'Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit'

Like a tick on the back of a warm blooded dog on a hot summer day, The Big Kahuna has been much worked up about the arrival of high school chums to arrive in Hilo for a visit.

Firstly, this old geezer must tell true that the selection of music for this post is a wee bit wicked, but it was hoped that it would get all concerned 'in the mood' to break loose and have a grand trip down memory lane.  It is also acknowledged that the music does not fit the proper period but could not find an appropriate Pat Boone filmed bit.

Secondly, getting to know a person is like peeling layers of an onion, and this old geezer is curious to discover what sort of pond The Big Kahuna swam in and what sort of fish he swam with...

The first school chum to arrive was "Lulu' with her very own "Mark Twain' in tow.  I rather think I will pay dear for this moniker...

Lulu is a 'bright light', there is no shadow cast upon her.  Personality is huge and what is not to love about a lovely lady who laughs so easily.  MOI got to chat a bit with before they were off to discover some of the delights that the Big Island has to offer.  Rumour has it that Lulu is very much the clever one, there be no grass growing under her bridge...

Next up was 'Cathrine The Great', a lady with a certain 'air' about...  There was not much passed between, being the late arrival and desire on the part of gathered chums to start swapping tales.

One wonders what string ties folks known to one another together.  It would seem that a shared memory of youth was time all three spent in Latin Class.  A class taught by a former nun prone to fall asleep and possessing a glass eye.  How could you not fail to be enthralled by the tales of the Gauls by such a personage?  Ad praesens ova cras pullis sunt meliora ....

Truth be told, the very idea of The Big Kahuna in a loud polyester shirt with airplane wing style collar, bell bottom trousers and big hair is a bit frightening.  Is it possible that our Scott danced to the music of ABBA?

I have no doubt that in the days yet to unfold, there will be much learned of The Big Kahuna and his golden youth.  This old geezer is much intrigued by the lovely ladies and the brilliant chap that will be here for a spell.

Scot is a most gracious host and have no doubt that he will do all possible to make the reunion a most memorable one.  Keep peeking in, this looks like a real page turner...
