D - DAY REMEMBERED AND MORE

 Saving the world is out of fashion these days.  One can only imagine what courage it took to walk into the hell that was waiting on the beaches that day.

Alan Turing.  A quiet, gentle man, who did much to win the war.  He did not carry a gun.  His brilliant mind came up with the code breaking that saved lived and ended the war much sooner.
