Steel Bracelets & Blackjacks on display at copper station. How original is that? What with all of the talk about coppers reaching out to community, why is it that powers that be in Police Department feel that displays of colourful and 'rough' promote a sense of 'friendly' to the folks sworn to 'serve' as well as protect?
This is the 21st Century, coppers are educated to take a different approach to crime and community relations. Neighbourhood Watch, prevention of crime and engaging the whole community in the process is order of day. How horrid that Chief Fullerton or Silly Hall denizens have grown so comfy with the colourful past of Marysville, they fail to see that times have changed and a different image or message about the work done by the coppers has moved forward.
Mind, with less and less coin in the public purse, there seems less interest in thinking 'out of the box' and more time spent dreaming of days of past glory and not a brighter future for the coppers on patrol in Marysville.
