Government Made Easy: Civic Duty

It is the responsibility of local residents to keep local government honest. One of the best ways to do that is to attend meetings of city council.

Today, a special meeting of city council in Marysville is being held. The matter to be heard is concerning an organization's local effort to do business in Marysville with legal blessing of city of Marysville.

Mind, the Chief of Police and members of staff have done everything possible to bar the organization from being able to do that. The law has been used to lock them out from any part of the city.

It is my civic duty to attend this meeting and let the city council know how I feel on this matter. It will remain to be seen how many other residents of Marysville will do likewise.
