BRILLIANT LOCAL TRADESMAN
It was on a cold and rainy day that me path crossed with Brandon Kesterson, owner of BK Custom Concrete. Firstly, I was impressed that he was a local contractor and not one of the traveling kind that requires an '800' number to reach and takes his wages out of the community. It also impressed me that Brandon was willing to come out in such horrid weather, It was raining frogs, to give a bid on a project that might not pan out.
Having newly formed an alliance with Kay Properties, this old geezer found self faced with the task of finding a licensed contractor to fix some stairs. Code Enforcement had come out on a complaint about stairs being unsafe and the clock was ticking for the project to be addressed and the complaint abated.
As one can see from the snap, the stairs leading up to second floor are of the concrete sort. Steps are of concrete. Mind, not the concrete used by ancient Romans, the sort we modern folks use that last but a few years in comparison with the type used in Rome.
Brandon looked the job over and went back to shop to work the numbers. Truth be told, he did much more than that.
Brandon is clever. He rang up a few places and located the steps (out of state) at a price that was better than could have been hoped for. Even with shipping the bloody things, it was less dear than could be got local. He went further and worked the numbers in a way that allowed he and Kay Properties to feel good about the cost. How bleeden brilliant is that?
Date was set and weather co-operated to allow Brandon and Jake, his partner, to get job sorted out.
BK Custom Concrete kept schedule. They worked in a clean and highly professional manner. One could not be more pleased at the quality work done at the Linda Villa. Am sure it will last long after this old geezer has departed.
There will be some readers who will think this is an advert, a suck up to Brandon and BK Concrete. They would be so very wrong. I like to think of it as a testament to a brilliant job done and allowing others to know of a local tradesman who does superior work. Mind, it is me website, so can bloody well write what I want....
Were this story to end with the quality work done by Brandon and his company, it would say much but not quite enough.
Brandon and his crew kept eyes open during visit to Linda Villa. They saw and heard the drama that fills days. Watched as small children dug through the large rubbish bin in search of treasure and saw some of them without proper clothing. Not wanting to offend, Brandon & Jake asked if it would be OK to place some bags and boxes of used clothing next to rubbish bin for the children.
Brandon & Jake are both young chaps with families. You who are in same boat, know that children grow and clothes are not needed. Same with toys. The items are still very much of use.
My dears, how bloody brilliant can one expect a company to be? Superior workmanship and socially aware to the community. LEGEND!
It is but the start of the new year and already folks to be treasured have crossed me path. Have no doubts that Kay Properties will be doing business with BK Custom Concrete in future. AND, it is the one check written to pay for services rendered that will be done with a massive smile.
Truth be told, am sitting here with a huge smile on face as I write.
