When I was on my road trip, coming back to Reno, we saw some lovely Autumn colour in the hills.  My travel companion exclaimed about the 'yellow aspen leaves glimmering in the light'....

Who talks like that?

I remember the Autumns of my youth.  Upstate Penna.  The hills were a riot of colour.  Shimmering?  Bloody hell, there was an explosion of colour...
